Café des Deux Moulins

Métro: Blanche
The Café des Deux Moulins ("Two Windmills") is the café from the movie Amélie, so if you're a fan of the movie, why not have a quick coffee or lunch there? You may be surprised to learn it's right around the corner from the Moulin Rouge in the neighborhood of Pigalle, Paris' bustling and touristy red light district. In the movie they really made it look like the café is in a quiet neighborood (they must have blocked off the street and sidewalk for filming), and the place always seemed pretty empty, but in reality it's pretty busy all of the time and there are tons of people walking by at any given time.
You'll definitely recognize the place when you walk in, but you'll also notice a couple differences; they've remodeled a bit, and I don't think that framed Amélie poster was on the wall when they were filming the movie, was it?
I had lunch at les Deux Moulins with a friend of mine and I made a dumb joke about just ordering ten raspberries, and then I noticed that they do have a few Amélie-themed items on the menu, like "Amélie Poulain's crème brûlée." Neat!
